چکیده

In this paper, the high-repetition-rate passively Q-switched (PQS) and femtosecond continuous-wave mode-locked (CWML) lasers are successfully obtained with 2D black arsenic-phosphorus (b-AsP) nanosheets as saturable absorber (SA) at 1 μm for first time, to best of our knowledge. The absorption properties ultrafast carrier dynamics b-AsP SA explored by Z-scan pump-probe techniques. Moreover, according measurement desired nonlinear optical characteristics relaxation time 27 ps modulation depth 7.14%, PQS CWML demonstrated highest repetition rate 2.26 MHz in laser pulse width 470 fs laser. results show has enormous potential solid-state bulk lasers.

Mid-Wave Infrared Photoconductors Based on Black Phosphorus-Arsenic Alloys.

Black phosphorus (b-P) and more recently black phosphorus-arsenic alloys (b-PAs) are candidate 2D materials for the detection of mid-wave and potentially long-wave infrared radiation. However, studies to date have utilized laser-based measurements to extract device performance and the responsivity of these detectors. As such, their performance under thermal radiation and spectral response has n...

Polarization and Thickness Dependent Absorption Properties of Black Phosphorus: New Saturable Absorber for Ultrafast Pulse Generation

Black phosphorus (BP) has recently been rediscovered as a new and interesting two-dimensional material due to its unique electronic and optical properties. Here, we study the linear and nonlinear optical properties of BP flakes. We observe that both the linear and nonlinear optical properties are anisotropic and can be tuned by the film thickness in BP, completely different from other typical t...

Excitability and coherence resonance in lasers with saturable absorber.

We show that a laser with a saturable absorber, described by the Yamada model, displays excitability just below threshold. A small perturbation, for example, a small input pulse, can trigger a single high output pulse, after which the system relaxes back to the off state. In order to study possible applications, such as pulse reshaping and clock recovery, approximate expressions are given for t...

Graphene-clad microfibre saturable absorber for ultrafast fibre lasers

Graphene, whose absorbance is approximately independent of wavelength, allows broadband light-matter interactions with ultrafast responses. The interband optical absorption of graphene can be saturated readily under strong excitation, thereby enabling scientists to exploit the photonic properties of graphene to realize ultrafast lasers. The evanescent field interaction scheme of the propagating...

Glass Processing Using Microsecond, Nanosecond and Femtosecond Pulsed Lasers

Laser processing of glass components is of significant commercial interest for the optoelectronics and telecommunications industries. In this paper, we present laser processing techniques using microsecond, nanosecond, and femtosecond lasers for machining of glass. Surface structures, mainly groove geometries, are generated with a diode-pumped solid-state nanosecond pulsed UV laser operating at...
